Purkupiha, a company engaged in demolition and recycling operations, and Purkupiha Asbestityöt (former Dammega), which specialises in demolitions involving hazardous materials, merged in December 2017. In the spring of 2018, SK-Purku joined the Group through a business acquisition. A new small giant, the Purkupiha Group, was born in the demolition and recycling industry.

The merger of Purkupiha, Dammega and SK-Purku creates a strong player in the Finnish demolition and recycling industry, the operations of which are based on high quality and reliability as well as recycling and reuse of construction waste.
The pro forma turnover of Purkupiha Group is more than EUR 30 million for the current financial period. Two-thirds of the turnover comes from demolitions of entire buildings and industrial plants, a quarter from demolitions involving hazardous materials and special demolitions and the rest from recycling. All services related to demolitions and recycling are now available under the same roof. Units for the demolition of entire buildings and industrial plants, recycling, demolition involving hazardous materials and special demolition operate independently and have a high degree of mutual synergy.
Purkupiha Group Oy is the parent company of Purkupiha and Purkupiha Asbestityöt. In the business acquisition, SK-Purku merges with the operational subsidiary, Purkupiha.
